Home is you

Aya, a 32-year-old musician with no boundaries or doubts about her identity as a lesbian, meets Yaelle, a 29-year-old multimedia artist and new immigrant to Israel from a conservative French family. They create performances together. Their encounter develops into a story of true love, and Yaelle makes the difficult decision to reveal her homosexuality to her parents.
Hope turns to despair as Yaelle is forced to sever her relationship with her family who refuse
to accept her. The young couple flies to Toronto to get married, but Yaelle then suffers an acute post-nuptial depression. She emerges from this depression to face her identity regarding herself, her culture, and her family.
Home is You is a brave and intimate documentary portrait. Vibrant, full of humor, real, and touching, Home is You confronts a humanistic struggle for love, marriage, and acceptance for all.

Ariel’s definition of Coming Out – no need to appropriate it to the field sexuality.

Coming out is related to every field in life.
Since it relates, naturally, to everything in which we need, first and foremost, to feel complete with ourselves.
The problem is that sometimes we see fit to urinate from a springboard that is too public.Share on Facebook

December 1st, WORLD AIDS DAY

In 1993, almost 20 years ago, I was 11 years old when I saw the movie “Philadelphia” with Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington

I remember loving the music of Bruce Springsteen in that amazing movie.

I was a child and this movie stayed one of my favorite film, one of these movies I will never forget and will follow me all my life.

I didn’t know what was “coming out” at this point but I guess that was my first contact with this concept :

- First, being ashamed of revealing something about yourself since it’s not conventional

- Second, stoping hidding/being ashamed and starting to tell the truth, accepting who you are and share it around you

- Third, being rejecting by some people and fighting for your rights

I think I was impressed by this movie and it’s aShare on Facebook

We lOst colors 9/11

11 years ago, we lost a lot of colors. To the memory of this tragedy….

Where were you when it happened?

I was at my parents house, it was around 3pm. A friend of my mum called me and told me to watch the news at the television.

I put on the tv and didn’t understand which movie was that.

It didn’t stop showing the images of the first plane hitting the twin tower and then the 2nd one.

I stared at the tv few minutes with the mouth open and then run to my address book to call my friend in New york. She didn’t answer. I started panicking.Share on Facebook
