A beautiful and sensitive Movie directed by Dana Doron & Uriel Sinai and produced by Hilla Medalia & Neta Zwebner-Zaibert (knowproductions).

It’s unique by its beautiful photography and close up on people’s soul.

It’s very gentle in a way that the directors don’t tell you what to think.
Everyone can make its own interpretation and no one can stay indifferent.

For me, it’s not really about the Shoah as it’s seems too. It’s about identity.

In Aushwitz, the nazi tried to delete the selected for work prisoners’s identity. They tattoo on their skin a number for life. In ” Numbered”, this moving movie,  we can see how the graved number turned to be part of their identity. Not only being Jew but also “have been there in Aushwitz”. The “lucky” ones that didn’t go directly to the the gas chambers.

Each survivor from the camp of hell deals with that identity they have been given in very different way. Their relationship with their number is very unique.

What is fascinating is what happen when the directors decided to put them all in the same room as a group that have one thing in common…

לכל מי ששאל מתי אפשר לראות את הסרט NUMBERED/ספורים, שביימתי ביחד עם Uriel Sinai ושהפיקו Hilla Medalia ו Neta Zwebner-Zaibert - ההקרנה הקרובה תהיה במדיטק בחולון ב-23.10.

כשמזמינים אותי לראות סרט שעוסק בשואה הדבר הראשון שעולה לי בראש זה אימג’ים של זוועות בשחור לבן.

הפעם החוויה הייתה שונה לגמרי.  הרעיון לעשות סרט עלה אצל הבמאית דנה דורון במהלך משמרת בחדר מיון. למיון הגיעה אישה מבוגרת עם כאבים בחזה. במהלך הבדיקה האישה החלה לספר לד”ר את כל מה שעבר עליה ובמהרה הסתבר שהכאבים בחזה היו רק תירוץ להגיע למיון ולגולל את סיפור חייה.  המפגש הותיר את דנה עם תחושה שהיא חייבת לעשות משהו עם העניין וכך חברה לאוריאל סיני בשביל למצוא שורדים נוספים ולתעד אותם לפני שיהיה מאוחר מדיי.

הסרט חושף את היחס של השורדים ובני משפחותיהם למספר שנותר כזכר למה שעברו. חלקם החליטו למחוק את המספר או להסתיר אותו במשך שנים וחלקם מצאו בו מקור לגאווה. המספר היווה באופן ברור את הרגע של  מחיקת האנושיות והזהות האינדיבידואלית של כל אדם ואילו המשתתפים בסרט הם אנשים מלאי חיות, רגישות, הומור וזיק מיוחד בעיניים שמקרין את הילד/ה שהם/ן מבעד לקמטים.

הם אינם עוד מספר וגם לא “ניצול” או “שורד” אלא בני אדם רווי חוכמה, רגישות ואהבה לחיים.
