Roy Freeman :
“This page is for sharing your experiences of moving to Israel as an LGBT people. Israel prides itself on its LGBT rights record and Tel Aviv promotes its 24×7 party scene worldwide, but what about those of us who arent interested in nightclubs and Atraf?
I would like this page to be a safe place for people to share their Aliyah experiences, no matter how long you’ve been here or where in Israel you decided to settle. For many LGBT people, it’s important to them to find other LGBT friends. How did you go about doing this? Where did you go to find friends? How did it go?
In addition to sharing experiences, I would like this page to be a place where we can discuss ideas for making the Aliyah process easier for others. For example, the Jewish Agency currently has programs in place for young singles and for families, but they completely ignore the LGBT demographic. If we can throw some ideas around, we could convince them to change this situation.
Please share this page with any friends you have who are LGBT and are either considering making Aliyah or have already done so. And if you know any LGBT Olim who speak French, Spanish or Russian, it would be great to have a similar page in those languages too.
And finally, we will not tolerate homophobia, anti-Zionism or anti-Semitism on this page.”Share on Facebook
